Privacy

TITHE has no accounts, no sign-up, no email, and no password. This page describes everything we actually collect, which is very little.

What we collect

• A vote cookie. Named tithe_id, a random value with no meaning outside this site. It exists so one person counts as one vote per window rather than as many. It expires after 24 hours.
• Your IP address, in hashed form. When no cookie is present we derive an identifier by hashing your IP with a secret salt generated when the server starts. This is used to prevent one client from voting unlimited times and to rate-limit abuse. The salt is not stored, so the identifiers cannot be reversed and do not survive a restart.
• Ordinary server logs kept briefly for security and debugging.

Payments are public, and not collected by us

Revive and takeover payments happen on the Solana blockchain. We read publicly available transaction data to confirm a payment arrived. A truncated form of the paying address is displayed on the stream and site so the person who saved the character can be credited.

We do not link wallet addresses to cookies, IP addresses, or votes. Blockchain records are public and permanent, and are outside our control.

Third parties

• Vercel hosts this site and processes requests on our behalf.
• Twitch serves the embedded video player and sets its own cookies under its own privacy policy. If you would rather it did not, do not load the stream.

Your rights

Because we hold no identifying information, we generally cannot locate data about a specific person — there is nothing to look up. You can delete the vote cookie in your browser at any time; nothing breaks. If you believe we hold data about you, contact us and we will help as far as we are able.
